rock-
excellent
i liked the slowly timbral changing "beewwwp"'s better than the staccatto
(sp?) bass-burps, the tweaky singing (was that you?) better than the 4AD
ladies ah-ing, and the loud parts better than the soft ones. More
volume!!! More bass, too. You've got those nice EV's at your disposal,
do the whole thing @ 100dB and then we're talking. Skeletons, man....
Also, and this is personal and not objective in the slightest, I like to
see the makers of the sounds an awful lot. I would much rather be bored
out of my skull watching you watch a sequencer than not be able to check
out the equipment and instead spend the evening with this wierd
dance/performance/porter college kinda thing -- take all this with a
grain of salt; i've been severely biased against that kinda visual stuff
since i dropped out of college, ya know? I mean, this is coming to you
from a guy whose band has no singer, no bass player, and no stage
presence whatsoever -- or was that you guys in the funny suits and the
whole thing was sequenced?
at any rate, I enjoyed myself immensely, those machines sound so darn
good hitting the speakers right away instead of through a recorded medium
first, although I admit I had to stare into space and shut my eyes a lot.
Leave the fourth wall up, rock, it's a beautiful architectural
achievement!
